TECHNICAL DATA

"GRINDING TOOLS"

General use is for jig grinding, precision grinding, and profiling of holes. The diamond flute pattern allows for rapid stock removal and acceptable finish. Manufactured with a slight back taper to overcome any tool deflection, the hole will have parallel walls.

The tool diameter should be approximately 80% of the hole diameter being ground allowing for unfinished hole size at start. Proper machine design and quality along with rigid workpiece mounting is critical as with any carbide tool.

Soft Material: 4-8 IPM (100mm-200mm)

1/4 - 3/8

1100-1300 (335-396)
.003-.005 Depth (.08mm-.13mm)

Workpiece rotation should be approximately ten percent (10%) of spindle speed.

If chatter develops first insure machine capability and workpiece mounting. If chatter persists reduce speed and increase feed.
